GMMC AGM & Social
Date: Tuesday September 19th
Location: Strathcona Community Hall (10139 87 Ave NW)
Come out and join us at Strathcona Community Hall to meet some of your fellow club members, enjoy reminiscing of the past year events, participate in the AGM discussion and elections, and to try your luck at winning some awesome door prizes!
* Any new member, existing member that renews membership, or existing member that attends the AGM gets name entered into hat for a free drop in via ferrata day with Girth Hitch Guiding*
There are a few positions opening for election on the executive if you are interested in taking on an executive role. Please note the chairs will be filled in the order named below at the AGM:
- Marketing & Promotion Chair
- Climbing Chair
- Hiking Chair
- Safety Chair
- Members at Large
Please refer to the Roles & Responsibilities page on our website (under Resources / Club Business) outlining the roles and responsibilities of each Chair Title position.
Being on the executive is a great way to give back to the community and gain some experience that will help boost your own resume and self confidence in doing the things that you love to do outside. Best part about it? You'll be rollin' with some of the coolest people around who share your passion for living the outdoor life. We welcome all levels of experience.
If you are interested in one of the positions listed, you will need to be a member, attend the AGM, and email the executive (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your name and the position you are interested in. If you are not able to attend the AGM, send a short paragraph about yourself and position your interested in and the executive can put your name forward.
If you are keen to learn more about any of the open positions, feel free to reach out to the folks currently in those roles or email email@example.com
Whether you are interested in joining the executive or not, the AGM is a great way to get to know some of the other club members and catch up with friends you haven't seen in a while.
Hope to see you all at the event!
